How to change or reset your student password

You can can change your password or set up other log in methods, like your phone number, at any time.

You can reset a forgotten password if you have a personal email listed in your student record.

Password criteria

Your password must include:

• a minimum of 8 characters

• 1 or more UPPERCASE character

• 1 or more lowercase character, and

• a number or symbol

Passwords cannot include your user name.

How to change your password

You can change your password or add other authentication methods any time

1. Go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/

2. Click the Change Password link

3. Enter your new password in the pop-up

You can add another login method, like your phone number, on the same screen.

How to reset your password

You can reset your password if you’ve forgotten it.

1. Go to https://portal.office.com

2. Enter your email address and click Next

3. Click ‘Forgot my password’. Microsoft will then send a reset link to your personal email, or phone number if you set that up.
