Rebooting Mitel Servers
1.1. Mitel Server Reboot Procedure
1.1.1. Purpose
Occasionally, Mitel servers require a reboot to resolve issues affecting:
Operator call connectivity
Softphone functionality
1.1.2. Common Symptoms
Kyle reports early signs when his softphone fails to connect or function.
Operators report being unable to receive calls.
1.1.3. Servers Involved
Mitel-DVS.ad.selkirk.ca – IP: 10.0.20.10
Mitel-HQ.ad.selkirk.ca – IP: 10.1.20.10
1.1.4. Reboot Instructions
Connect via RDP to the servers.
Reboot Mitel-DVS server first.
Once DVS is back online, reboot Mitel-HQ server.
Monitor server status using the Mitel Direct Connector:
Login with your Active Directory (AD) credentials.
Navigate to “Connectivity” on the left panel to view server and device status.
1.1.5. Additional Notes
Switch Issue: After rebooting, a switch may go offline.
→ Solution: Power cycle the switch to bring it back online.
