- Click on “Absence Request” to start a new request.

Note: This landing page will also show you the available balances that you can draw down. - Complete all sections:
- Select the type of request you would like to submit under the “Reason” drop-down.
Image Modified - Choose the date range that you are requesting by selecting “First Day” and “Last Day”
- Select the position that is affected
- Indicate whether you are requesting a full or partial day:
- Yes = a full day of vacation
- No = a partial day (you will be asked to identify # hours requested)

- Select the type of request you would like to submit under the “Reason” drop-down.
- Double check that the correct request is submitted by:
- viewing the "Summary" section

- If you are ready to submit, click “Send for Approval” button at the bottom of the page when you are finished.

Note: Alternatively, you can select “Save as draft” to save and revisit this request at a later date, before submitting to your manager/ supervisor. - You will receive notice of approved/rejected requests through notification button (i.e. bell icon) on the home screen.

NEW! A retro-active request can be made through the Absence module for the current calendar year. For example, in December 2023, I remember to go back and input a request for vacation that I took in November 2023. I back date the request in the request screen and submit for approval as normal. However, if I don't remember to submit until January 2024, then I need to email my Supervisor and HR@selkirk.ca for that adjustment to be applied. |
