Andrea Hall Kate Dergousoff  - This is in progress, but I want to confirm the points below and then I'll pull them together in the communication.


To address email with concerns:

  1. RE: no longer be required to submit absence reports. How will sick time be reported? Salary, payroll doesn't need anything else except vac and sick absence reporting.
    1. Applies to non-time sheet driven employees:
    2. Advance reporting (i.e. on/before the date of occurrence, before payroll due date) via absence module
      • If within 10 days of pay run deadline, supervisor must notify Payroll.
    3. retroactively - submit to Payroll via email as a correction (current practice)

  2. RE: requests and balances: how will supervisors know if employees are actually exceeding their balances or will, in fact, earn enough vacation to cover it before the date occurs?

    2. To calculate projected VAC accrual, contact Payroll

  3. RE: Manager visibility of process for employees. There isn't a schedule for training or any details that would help me put together a departmental plan. How can my employees be comfortable with doing their own data entry when we don't know what that looks like.
    1. Coralee/Devin record Absence recordings for each group, pass to Lori for Kaltura/post to go.selkirk
      1. submissions & approvals (sup/ee view) by union group
      2. People Planner
    2. Assigning substitutes - contact Coralee (???)
