Moodle offers a selection of communication tools to choose from for communication between students and instructors:

  1. Forums/Discussions -  
    • add using "+Add an activity or resource"
  2. Chat
    • add using "+Add an activity or resource"
  3. Quickmail
    • add a 'Block' using "Add a block"  (NOTE: editing must be turned on in order for you to see "Add a block")
  4. Messages
    • access through individual Dashboards
