New Employee - Logging in to your Selkirk accounts
Welcome to Selkirk College!
As a new employee at Selkirk College, IT Services wants to make your first few days go smoothly.
Check out these step-by-step instructions to access your Selkirk College accounts. (*Your employment contract must be submitted to HR before these steps will work).
If you experience any issues while logging in, please come by the helpdesk area located in the Bonnington Wing of the Castlegar campus, call our support line, submit an IT Ticket or join our Virtual drop in sessions.

Step 1
Log in to the computer (if you are prompted to change password here, select NO)
Note: If you are signing in for the first time from home, go directly to https://passwords.selkirk.ca
Step 2
Open the internet browser (Firefox, Edge, Chrome) and type in https://passwords.selkirk.ca
Step 3
Enter your username and the temporary password you were provided
Example (first initial of first name and complete last name)
Name: Jane Smith
Username: jsmith
Password: (provided by HR)
Follow the prompts to create a new password
(Note: wait about 10 minutes for the password to sync with all Selkirk College services)
Step 4
Login to Outlook email at selkirk.ca using your Selkirk email address and newly created password.
Step 5
Follow the next steps to set up your MFA (Multi-factor Authentication).

Full Office 365 access
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote on the web
Office application download (not required for Selkirk computers)
OneDrive (personal file storage)
Microsoft TEAMS
Learning Management system (Moodle) selkirk.ca
selkirk.ca (Selkirk College intranet)
selkirk.ca (IT Knowledge Centre)
Papercut cloud-based printing
Adobe products (if required for your position)
Some Selkirk College services require a separate username and password.

Join our virtual help desk through Zoom: https://selkirk.zoom.us/j/61287987713
Check out our IT Kiosk located in various areas on your campus. Use the Kiosk to zoom an IT agent for assistance or submit an IT ticket.

Dial extension 55255 (internal) or 1-844-304-6500 (external) - if you leave a voicemail, it creates an IT ticket automatically.
