Connecting to a subfolder on W: drive
Open File Explorer from the taskbar or the Start menu, or press the Windows logo key + E.
Right click on This PC from the left pane. Then, select Map network drive.
In the Drive list, select a drive letter. Do not select W: Any other available letter will do.
In the Folder box, type or paste the file path(\\cas-ext-file-01.ad.selkirk.ca\Shared\Data\yoursubfolderhere). To connect every time you sign in to your PC, select Reconnect at sign-in.
Select Finish. The new network drive will appear under This PC on the left of the Explorer window.
Note: If you can't connect to a network drive or folder, you might not have the correct permissions. If working from home, please connect to VPN to reach the file shares.
